CHAMPIONS NUGGETS DEVOTIONAL

for Today: 1 Kings 19:1-4 “And when he saw that he arose, and went for
his life, and come to Beer- Sheba which belongs to Judah, and left his
servant there.”(vs. 3) .
What
would life be if we have no courage to attempt anything. Extreme fear
can neither fight nor fly. Fear has stopped many from stepping into
glory, and it’s still moving to stop many more from becoming what they
are created for. He who is not everyday conquering some fear has not
learned the secret of life.
Do the thing you fear to do and keep doing
it; that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer
fear. Do not be afraid, your fate can’t be taken from you, it’s a gift
from God.
The devil has no regard for the size or status of anyone; he
comes after everyone as he moves to and fro.
The voice you accept and
esteem determines what rules your life. Often times, I wonder when I
read this story about Elijah running away from Jezebel after killing
about 450 prophets of Baal (all male) single-handedly and now running
from a woman who just spoke a word.
Without sending any soldier to
capture Elijah, he ran for his dear life by hearing a word from Jezebel.
The word intimidated him, depressed him and drove him into hiding.
If
you allow the voice of fear, you will be afraid of almost anything when
there is actually nothing to be afraid off.
What you hear and believe
will determine your reaction and your reaction determines your action.
The voice of fear causes us to think the worst instead of believing God
for the best and the voice of fear comes from the devil to attack your
faith and your confidence in God and yourself.
You are a champion!
Covenant Prayers
Further Study: 1 Kings 19:11-13.
1. Father, I thank you for the breaking of this new day.
2. I come against every voice of fear in my life in Jesus’ name.
3. The power to confront my fear, I receive in Jesus’ name.
4. I become a fear to my fear in Jesus’ name.
